With seven Lufthansa repatriation flights from Namibia to Germany, the German Embassy Windhoek, the German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Forces and the German Federal Foreign Office supported more than 1,700 stranded travelers to return home to their loved ones. Starting from Sunday, 29 March 2020, aircrafts of the type A350 and A330 left Namibia for the alternating destinations Frankfurt and Munich in Germany.

Apart from Germans, citizens from 27 different nations were able to join the #rueckholaktion and continued their travels from Germany to their home countries.
