26.01.2018 - Press release

On 22 January 2018, 9 holders of the German Language Certificate II received their diplomas at the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule from Mr. Ullrich Kinne, Cultural Counsellor of the German Embassy, after having successfully passed their exams.

Studying at a German university

This proved a very special day in the lives of the young people who had for many years prepared for the German Language Certificate (Deutsches Sprachdiplom/DSD) which is governed by the standards set by the German ‘Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs’.

Outstanding performance in 2017 NSSC examination

Ullrich Kinne congratulated the young people on this special achievement, an achievement which opens them the door to Germany and Europe. Receiving the Language Certificate paves the way for studying at a German University.

He also congratulated the learners on their achievements in the 2017 NSSC examinations. Gabriel Hamalwa reached an outstanding second place nation-wide in English as a First Language, while Emeka Nwagboso came in at 12th place. Four students placed among the top twenty for German as a Foreign Language (Gabriel Hamalwa, Mhudi Simana, Ukendis Uazeua and Emeka Nwagboso) as well as Ukendise Uazeua placing amongst the top twenty in accounting.

In addition, we congratulate further certificate holders from the Namib High School and from the Delta Secondary School Windhoek who also successfully passed their exams for the German Language Certificate II.
