From 19th January 2026, all Schengen Visa Applications will be outsourced to TLS Contact.

From 19th January 2026, the German Embassy will upgrade its processes and improve its services for all Namibian residents who need a Schengen visa for travel to Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

All Schengen Visa applications will be exclusively handled by the experienced service provider TLS contact. TLS Contact is the regional partner of the Federal Foreign Office and is already successfully operating in many African countries.

Visa application forms and accompanying documents need to be submitted at the TLS Contact German Visa Application Centre, located at Maerua Mall, Office Tower, 3rd Floor. Biometric data collection as well as the collection of the passports with the visa will also take place at the German Visa Application Centre. The opening hours will be Monday to Friday, from 08:30 hrs to 15:30 hrs. The decision to grant a visa remains solely in the hands of the German Embassy in Windhoek.

What does this mean in practical terms?

  1. From 13 January 2026, bookings for appointments for Schengen Visa applications can be made only through the TLS Contact website for Namibia: TLS Contact. You can choose a time slot convenient for you and will find more information about the documents you need to submit at your appointment.
  2. TLS Contact will begin accepting applications as from 19th January 2026.

A non-refundable service fee of 24,51 EURO (approx. 500 NAD) in addition to the regular visa fee applies. All fees are payable by credit card only, please note that cash is not accepted.

According to the European Visa Code, the processing time of the application for any type of passport may take up to 15 consecutive days. You will be informed by TLS Contact as soon as the passport is ready for collection at the TLS Contact office.

Please be aware that for national visa (more than 90 days stay in Germany), such as for studying/working or family reunification, the process will not change. For more information on national visa please visit our website: National Visa
