Fees for Consular services valid from 01.01.2025
Payment methods
Fees are payable at the Embassy
- in Namibian Dollars (NAD) in cash
or - by credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
Payments in Euro are not possible.
Conversion is made at the current exchange rate of the German Embassy Windhoek. The amount will be rounded up or down to the nearest 10 NAD.
Please note the following points for credit card payments:
- It is not permitted to bring a mobile phone into the Embassy. If you require a ‘One Time Password’ or similar when paying by credit card, you will not be able to access it.
- For technical reasons, credit card payments may occasionally fail
- Credit cards must
- be authorised for the ‘Pay online’ function and
- issued in the name of a person present at the appointment
- The credit card will be debited in euros from Germany and bank charges may apply. Please ensure that your bank does not refuse a debit from abroad.

The fee will not be refunded if the application is rejected. The fee is not charged for the issuing of a visa, but for the processing of the application.
