If you left Germany to permanently live in Namibia, we recommend to have your German residential address removed from your passport.
An application for change of residential address in the passport can be processed at the Embassy Windhoek. Please arrange an appointment in advance in our online booking system:

Required documentation
Please bring along pesonally the following documentation to the booked appointment.:
1. | Original German passport or Identity Card |
2. | Filled out passport application (please mark at the top of the form „Change of passport“ ); for minors, all parents or legal guardians have to sign the application |
3. | Proof of Namibian address (for example: municipal bill, telephone bill) |
4. | In case of Namibian nationality: copy of your Namibian ID |
5. | In case of non-Namibian nationality: copy of residence permit |
6. | Copy of deregistration of last German place of residence |
Incomplete documentation cannot be accepted. In some cases, further documentation may be requested.
Fees and processing time
Change of place of residence in your passport is free of charge.
If all the required docments are handed in, the changes in the passport can usually be made on the same day.
