School exchanges have an extremely positive impact on the quality of learning and learning environments. As a result of participating in exchanges and other collaborative schemes, individuals greatly develop their technical, linguistic and intercultural skills, as well as their personal skills. The 'Pädagogische Austauschdienst (PAD)' offers scholarships for Namibian students of German with excellent performance and supports visits with host families in Germany from two to four weeks. The AGDS (Arbeits- und Fördergemeinschaft der Deutschen Schulvereine in Namibia) organizes in cooperation with the VDA (Verein für Deutsche Kulturbeziehungen im Ausland e.V.) and with support of the German Embassy a 10-12 weeks exchange between Namibian and German students for many years. This is an important contribution to reducing prejudices and thus plays an important role in strengthening the German- Namibian friendship.
